Report on the Five-Day Bootcamp on IoT Device Programming

1. Introduction

The GSSS Technology Business Incubator Foundation (GSSSTBIF), Mysuru, organized a five-day Bootcamp on “IoT Device Programming” in collaboration with the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC), Bengaluru, and the Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) Department, GSSSIETW.
This program was conducted under the Future Skills PRIME (FSP) initiative of the Government of India, aimed at bridging the skill gap in emerging technologies and preparing students for industry-ready roles in IoT and embedded systems.

2. Resource Persons

The training sessions were led by Mr. Murugan S, Scientist-D, C-DAC Bengaluru, a senior embedded systems engineer with national and international exposure. His expertise includes:

Bluetooth & RFID-based applications
GSM software & IoT product development
Embedded automation systems
Collaborations with DRDO, NIOT, CSIO, BEL, and other reputed organizations

He was accompanied by:
Mr. Dnyaneshwar, Project Associate, C-DAC Bengaluru
Mr. Pranav Sangar, Project Engineer, C-DAC Bengaluru
Together, the team delivered insightful sessions that combined conceptual knowledge with hands-on exposure.

3. Program Details:

The Bootcamp was inaugurated in the presence of dignitaries from GSSSIETW.

Dr. M. Shivakumar, Principal, GSSSIETW, in his presidential address, emphasized the importance of leveraging incubation facilities to enhance entrepreneurial skills and benefit from the growing startup ecosystem.
