Faculty Development Programme on “MOKU GO” Instrument
1. Introduction:
A Faculty Development Programme (FDP) titled “Features and Operational Procedure of MOKU GO” was organized by DST-iTBI, GSSSTBIF in collaboration with M/s. AES Instruments, Bengaluru. The event aimed to introduce and demonstrate the capabilities of the newly procured multifunction electronic lab equipment – MOKU GO. This initiative was designed for faculty members and lab instructors from the Electronics and Communication (E&C) and Electrical and Electronics (E&E) departments of GSSSIETW.
2. Objectives of the Programme:
• To provide hands-on exposure to the advanced features of the MOKU GO instrument.
• To enhance technical understanding and promote concept-based learning in electronic instrumentation.
• To facilitate the integration of industry-relevant tools into the academic and lab curriculum.
3. About the Equipment – MOKU GO:
MOKU GO is an advanced educational and laboratory tool that integrates 14+ instruments into a single compact unit. This device is tailored for modern engineering education and supports experiential, concept-based learning. It equips faculty and students with tools aligned with current industry practices, making it an ideal addition to academic labs.
4. Programme Highlights:
• The session was conducted by Mr. Manoj, Tech Support Associate from M/s. AES Instruments.
• It included a detailed demonstration of each tool within the MOKU GO suite, showcasing real-time applications.
• Mr. Manoj also provided insights on how MOKU GO can be effectively integrated into lab experiments and project work.
• Attendees were encouraged to interact and try out the equipment under guidance, fostering an engaging and practical learning environment.
5. Participation:
• The session witnessed an enthusiastic response from faculty and lab staff.
• A total of 31 participants from the E&C and E&E departments attended the training.
• The programme was well-received by the participants.
6. Outcome:
The session fulfilled its intended objectives and sparked interest in further integration of MOKU GO into lab-based courses and workshops.
7. Conclusion:
DST-iTBI-GSSSTBIF, in collaboration with M/s. AES Instruments, demonstrated a forward-thinking approach in empowering faculty with practical tools and training. The programme opened avenues for curricular enrichment in line with evolving technological standards.
